Description: Waenhuis is situated at the foot of the Pakhuis Pass, 3.5 km east of Clanwilliam on Patrysvlei Farm via the R363. This working farm has a fully equipped air-conditioned cottage which can sleep 4 to 5 persons. The Waenhuis has four rooms (air-conditioned or overhead fans) en-suite. The two main bedrooms of 22m� and 15m� respectively have double beds as does a third smaller bedroom. The attic room of 36m� has two single beds and a sitting area which can be converted to sleep more people. The open plan living area of 36m� has clay tiles and a "riet dak". A dining table and eight chairs, kitchen (stove with hob and oven, fridge, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery) and lounge occupy this area. The lounge has one couch, two easy chairs and a TV set. Plus DSTV. There is an inside fireplace for winter evenings. Double doors lead to the outside with braai facilities and table and chairs for outdoor meals. Towels and linen are provided (beds made up for arrival). Daily servicing of the Waenhuis can be arranged at an additional cost for self-catering guests. The garden has a swimming pool with BBQ/braai facilities. There are various activities to be enjoyed on the farm. The farm (1800ha) offers exclusive walks in the uncultivated and uninhabited mountain veld which is a large part of the farm. Bird viewing can also be enjoyed and there are many scenic spots to take day trips to. In the village and surrounds there are several good restaurants.
