Description: White Bridge Farm B&B is situated on a working farm on the upper reaches of the Breede River. The entire farm is surrounded by awe-inspiring and breathtaking views. Our accommodation works on a Bed & Biscuit (Rusks & Fruit) basis. Full farm breakfasts are available on request. We are conveniently located only 90 minutes drive from Cape Town - Half way between Ceres and Wolseley. Accommodation is en suite with a private fireplace and choice of twin beds or double. The B&B accommodation consists of double or twin bed’s en-suit. There is a lovely fireplace for the winter nights. This accommodation leads out on to a lovely garden with a magnificent backdrop of fruit trees and mountains. During the summer months guests can cool of in the nearby swimming pool at the main house. It is an easy walk (about 150 meters) to the river and other attractions on the farm. Dixons View and Otters landing: These two open plan design river cabins sleep 4 people each. They are beautifully constructed from natural resources such as timber, stone and bamboo and both have lovely decks over the bank of the river. The impressive “Dixons Peak” looms overhead across the river. The accommodation consists of a double bed in each unit and two single futons in the loft area.The cabins are equipped with fridge, microwave oven, a two plate stove and all the little extras that a normal kitchen requires. There is also a beautiful fireplace in each and braai facilities outside. Linen and towels are supplied. These cabins are very popular for their situation, charm and atmosphere that they provide. Impangele: Impangele” – meaning guinea fowl, due the large numbers in the area, is a larger self-catering unit with a full bathroom, queen size bed, a double bunk bed and a double fold out sleeper in the lounge. It is ideal for 4 people but will sleep up to 6. It’s construction is of brick and mortar and also has a lovely wooden deck facing the river. There is also an indoor fireplace and outdoor braai facilities. You can witness the most magnificent sunsets from the deck of Impangele. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, microwave oven, two plate stove and all the little extras that a normal kitchen requires. This unit is beautifully decorated and has a true holiday atmosphere about it. Facilities & Activities: You could enjoy a dip in the nearby swimming pool or have a game of tennis on our garden court. There are also great walks on the farm and excellent hiking in the surrounding mountains. Bird watching is brilliant and the fishing exceptional. You can also white water raft on the river during the rainy season. Good restaurants and pubs can be found less than 1km away - within walking distance. Facilities within 10kms: You will find a lovely golf course, 4x4 routes, hiking trails, MTB trails and well known wine cellars a little further afield. This progressive farm produces a variety of pears, world-class citrus as well as an assortment of other interesting crops, such as the medicinal herb Buchu. Most of the crops harvested on White Bridge farm are packed for the export market. All the fruits and vegetables are packed on the premises. Visitors are welcome to visit the packing operation during the fruit season. Full tours of the farm as well as the pack shed are arranged on request.
