Description:
Lowestoffe Country Lodge is secluded in the heart of the Elandsberg Mountains. This pristine and exquisite setting, in the amphitheatre of the Hogsback area, forms the backdrop for family holidays or weekend getaways for those who want to appreciate country living at its very best.

Nestled within 5 500 hectares of spectacular countryside are three modern, self-catering lodges. Each lodge is separate and very private as the privacy and comfort of our guests is paramount.

Lowestoffe Country Lodge is comprised of four farms - Lowestoffe, Rooken, Rockford and Woodhouselea. This unique area of land also functions as a holistically managed sheep and cattle farm
Nearby activities are tennis, guided horse trails, night drives. Five dams and 17kn of Klipplaat river making it a Trout fishermans paradise.

Accommodation consists of three extremely private, comfortable houses. With no-nonsense décor and spaciousness this is home-from-home accommodation in every way. The gardens around each of the houses with their huge lawns and total privacy, make the invitation to relax and "chill out", all the more enticing.

Trout Lodge: This attractive lodge, built in 1990, has a beautiful setting overlooking the main Lowestoffe trout-fishing dam. It has a lounge with free-standing fire-place for cosy wintry evenings, 4 bedrooms, one with a double bed, very well equipped kitchen - microwave, stove, fridge/freezer, dining room and 2 bathrooms, one en-suit. Both a shower and a bath are available.
The décor is comfortable and appealing and duck-down duvets help ease you into a good nights sleep away from it all. Arise in the morning - open the curtains - and fill your soul with the scenic beauty which surrounds you. You may even be fortunate to catch an early morning glimpse of the wildebeest frolicking just beyond the dam.
Serviced daily. Can sleep up to 8 people. Braai area and wood provided.

Walnut Lodge: This house was built in the late 1930's - set in a former walnut orchard. It's spaciousness, wooden floors and old-time feel offers true country living in every sense. It is set in it's own huge and lovely garden with plenty of lawn and space. It has a lounge with a wonderful fireplace for those wintry evenings, 4 bedrooms, two of which have double beds, a dining room, fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, fridge/freezer, stove, lovely big kitchen table with chairs. Two big bathrooms - one with a shower, the other a bath.
The décor is a mixture of old-world and modern touches with duck-down duvets to help ease you into a good nights sleep. From the veranda mountainous views herald in the new day.
Serviced daily. Can sleep up to 8 people. Braai area and wood provided. Private, yet close to the main homestead.

Rockford Lodge: The setting is magnificent with a poplar forest on the one side and beautiful views directly in front of the house looking towards the well-known Klipplaat River.
It has 4 bedrooms, one double bed and the rest single beds, a big lounge come dining room and a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, stove, fridge/freezer. Two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other a bath.
Serviced daily. Can sleep up to 8 people. Braai area and wood provided.

We are now privileged to be able to offer the fisherman four large dams fully stocked with Rainbow Trout and one smaller bass dam. Lowestoffe Dam and Poplar Dam are both to be found on Lowestoffe itself, while Woodhouselea has two big dams as well. (2x4 LDV vehicle recommended for these two dams).

18km's of the Klipplaat river are also available to the fisherman. Delight in this beautiful stretch of water by fishing for trout or yellowfish, or just for the shear enjoyment of it. Peaceful, uninterrupted wild trout fishing at it's best
