Description: This is one of the oldest and largest country inns in South Africa. Original beamed ceilings, roaring fires, quaint rooms, breakfasts, lunches and dinners. All the ambience of a bygone era. There are 50 beautifully appointed rooms. Of these rooms, 10 are family rooms and 40 are double rooms sleeping a total of 120 guests per night. All rooms offer en-suite bathrooms, TV (with 10 channels DSTV) , telephone and most have a fire place & a balcony. Facilities: 2 swimming pools, Squash court, Tennis court, Snooker, Pool, Darts, Trampoline, Putt-putt, Beach Volley ball, Hiking trail, ect… Sitting rooms, patios which look out over the grounds down to a trickling stream and duck pond. In house restaurant well worth visiting during the weekend. Situated 300 metres off the N2, Cape Town side of the Houwhoek Pass (children welcome). Our A La Carte (Monday to Sunday) restaurant seats 100 persons, with set menus, also for Saturdays and Sundays. We also have country home cooking with traditional Sunday lunches.
