Description: Seasands Lodge in St. Lucia South Africa, nestling in a lavish tropical garden with breathtaking views over the wetlands and Estuary mouth of Lake St. Lucia where it meets the warm Indian Ocean, is hard to beat both as a destination and venue. We offer holiday accommodation offering serviced lodges which consists of a large bedroom cum lounge ala Holiday Inn, full bathroom & shower, fully kitted out kitchenette and verandah with garden furniture. All rooms have air conditioning, and individual balconies with the front facing rooms offering sweeping views over the Wetlands. All accommodation includes satellite TV, is well equipped and tastefully decorated. All meals are available in our Lapa as an optional extra. The venue caters for conferences. The swimming pool is set in the lush tropical gardens The Lapa with its wooden sundeck and cosy bar offers magnificent views over the wetlands to the sea. Restaurant & Bar with wooden deck – Wooden walkways from the Lodges lead to the centre of the complex which consists of the dining room & bar overlooking the wetlands. Our dinner speciality is fish & traditional South African cuisine. Freshly baked cake, tea & coffee is served daily and a light lunch menu is also available. Here breakfast is served daily on a buffet style basis. We have 27 Lodges and large bus groups are easily accommodated. Seasands will assist guests with information regarding activities and tours - a few examples are: Boat safari`s on the lake to see crocodiles on Lake St. Lucia and hippos in stlucia Estuary in their natural environment Whale watching in St. Lucia off the coast of the warm Indian Ocean during the winter months. Self-guided nature trails OR for the feint hearted we will arrange an armed Ranger. Turtle tours during November, December and part of January (weather and tides permitting) to view Giant Leatherback turtles at Cape Vidal or St. Lucia returning to lay their eggs on the beaches where they were born. Game Reserve excursions - 'Big 5' game reserves close to St. Lucia village Birding in and around St. Lucia - a variety of habitats i.e. wetlands, grasslands, sand and tropical forests.
