Description: The Milking Parlour is situated on Belcrest Farm located on the outskirts of Kenton-on-Sea. The accommodation is in a tastefully renovated and converted milking parlour which sleeps six persons. Belton Farm is situated just 20kms from Kenton-On-Sea and offers self catering accommodation in a unique 3 bedroom guest house with magnificent views of the undulating hills and Kariega River valley. Within easy access to town and the beaches. Magnificient views across the rolling hills and Bushmans River Valley. Numerous hiking trails. Belton Farm offers numerous hiking trails of various lengths which take you through the undulating valleys and indigenous forests to meandering rivers. Maps and detailed descriptions are provided, or you can be accompanied if you prefer. Belton is a good base to hike the many day trails in the area as well as all the wonderful beaches to be walked and enjoyed. Trail 1: Total time ± 5 hours - Distance approx. 13.2 kms This trail takes you from Belton house along the tops of the krans, in and out a number of kloofs, right along the edge to Redcliff. From here you follow the krans round and back past Belcrest farm house and then back to Belton. Trail 2: Total time ± 8 hours - Distance approx. 16.8 kms This trail also starts from Belton house, but at Redcliff turn left down the back of it and walk down an old track to the bottom where you meet up with a farm track which takes across the river and up a magnificent kloof. Trail 3: Total time ± 8 hours - Distance approx. 16.8 kms This trail follows the same route as Trail 2, but is done the other way round. This is one of the longest routes for seasoned hikers and is most enjoyable in hot weather as one can stop at the numerous swimming holes to cool down. Trail 4: Total time ± 3 hours - Distance approx. 9.2 kms This trail starts from the back of Belton house and takes you down to the spring. From here you can follow the markers across the krans and around to Redcliff. Trail 5: Total time ± 2 hours - Distance approx. 4.7 kms This trail starts at the back of Belton and takes you up to the Wilmot beacon where there is a 360° view. From here the tail winds down the valley and into the kloof. Trail 6: Total time ± 5 hours - Distance approx. 9 kms This trail is a short one that takes you down to the river, without having to do one of the longer trails. It follows down Cloverlea kloof to the Bushmans River, and back up the back of Redcliff. The trail goes along the top of the krans, and back past the farm house to Belton. Trail 7: Total time ± 5 hours - Distance approx. 9 kms This is the reverse of the previous one and is recommended for those hot days. You follow the same path as Trail 4 to the top of Redcliff, carry on down the back of the cliff to the bottom, where you turn right ad follow a track to the river. A good stopping place for a swim! Follow the trail up the other side and come up the Cloverlea Kloof back to Belton. Stop at Belcrest for a swim if its hot. Price Info:
