Description: Fully Booked from 16th December 2006 to 6th January, 2007 The resort is located along the east coast alongside the side of the River Kwelega. The accommodation consists of lovely thatched, self-catering rondavels and cottages, as well as grassed, shady and serviced caravan sites, all of which have 10 amp electrical outlets, and with water taps between sites. Each unit can sleep a maximum of six persons, with the exception of our three-bedroom cottage, which can sleep eight. Small dogs are allowed at an additional fee on application only. Units are not serviced daily. Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with beautiful surroundings and numerous activities plus watersports can be enjoyed. Besides being well protected from the wind, our park is exceptionally safe for children. It is unique in it's surrounding, due to the natural environment provided by the tidal river, where children and adults alike spend hours fishing, crabbing, canoeing and swimming in the full view of the sites. Many of our customers bring a motorized boat so that they can enjoy the river and go to the beach by boat. A trip to the beach by car is only a four-minute drive away. We have recently launched "The Imandi Adventure & Leisure Village" at Areena. Various activities such as Abseiling, Mountain Bike trails, Hiking Trails, Quadbiking, Horse Trails, Paintball and Surf School can all be arranged. We also have a swimming pool, tennis court, trampoline, sauna and Jacuzzi, clubhouse/kitchen and volleyball area, as well as a kiddy's playground. Over and above this we have marked out canoe and nature trails, where you can wander amongst various species of buck, zebra and giraffe, as well as a prolific bird life. We do not offer horse riding at our resort, but there are quite a few places in very close proximity that do. An entertainment program is arranged for the Christmas Season, from about the 19 December until about the 3 January. We do this at Easter as well. Another feature of our resort is our ferry, the "Kareena", which we use to take people on a gentle cruise down our magnificent river to the beach. This cruise does attract a charge and is run mostly during the peak seasons. Areena forms part of the popular "Jikeleza" Route. Just on our doorstep is the recently opened "Inkwenkwezi" game farm, and some of the most popular fishing spots along our coast. Price Info:
