Description:
In the foothills of the scenic Southern Drakensberg, which forms part of the uKhahlamba World Heritage site, is Drakensberg Gardens Golf and Leisure Resort, boasting a newly tarred road. The resort is conveniently located on an 860-acre estate bordering KZN Wildlife land, allowing access to spectacular walks and hikes - the most strenuous being a nine-hour hike up the Rhino Horn 3000 metres above sea level. En-suite rooms are spacious and comfortable and includes a television, telephone, heaters and tea/coffee making facilities.

The resort has 2 restaurants, Country Kitchen which serves a buffet breakfast and mouth watering buffet dinners and the Bergview Restaurant only open in the evenings offering a La Carte dinners. Guest can relax and enjoy a game of darts or catch up on sporting events in the Kraal Inn. Play golf with the beautiful mountains as your backdrop on the magnificent 18 hole competition status golf course at the Resort or take part in a myriad of other sports and activities on offer such as tennis, bowls, putt-putt, volleyball, badminton, walks, hiking, pitch and putt, horse riding and squash.

For the kids there is their very own ?Discovery Park? where children can get to know nature?s creatures in a mini farmyard with birds and rabbits. From the hotel you can also take horse riding hikes through the mountains or take a day trip by 4 X 4 vehicle up Sani Pass to meet the people of the Basuto land or have a drink in the highest pub in Africa. Drakensberg Gardens Golf and Leisure Resort has two conference venues, with a maximum seating capacity of 200 delegates cinema style. There is something for everyone to enjoy in the mountains of the Southern Drakensberg only two and a half hours traveling time on a fully tarred road from Durban.
