Description: The accommodation is in close proximity to the main house, but retaining their privacy, the two cottages are for self-catering. Each sleeps four and is equipped with linen, crockery, cooking facilities, fridges and braai (barbeque) facilities. The Bottom Cottage has a double bedroom with two single beds. The large open-plan living area has two sofas for two extra persons. The fire-place makes it cosy and warm on winter evenings. Set further back from the main house and slightly more private, the Top Cottage has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. You have a choice of breakfasts: Full English, Continental or Healthy (Vegetarian). 3 Course Dinners provided by prior arrangement, so that we can cater for individual tastes (for residents only). Our dam is home to domestic and wild ducks and geese. Owls and herons roost in the blue gum trees along its edge. The free-range hens produce wonderful eggs, which are for sale, as are jars of honey from our resident colony of bees. We are within easy reach of beaches and seafood restaurants and would be happy to organize cruises on the Berg River on your behalf. A visit to the Fossil Park is a must for the palaentologically minded. Regretfully no pets. No smoking in the main house. Price Info:
