A few steps and you are walking on one of the most beautiful and pristine beaches on the West Coast.
The bay is very protected and the water is a little warmer than most places on the West Coast, due to the Benguela current not entering the bay.
One of the deciding factors when we built our home here was the fact that the beach was so safe.
This meant that children could safely play and swim while we sat on the veranda, watching and relaxing.
This is a bird watcher's paradise and David is at present chairman of the West Coast Bird Club.
Our accommodation consists of:
(a) a suite of two double rooms, with a bathroom and small lounge and private deck overlooking the beach. Both have tea/coffee making facilities, hairdriers and TV's. The suite has a small fridge.
b) A double room downstairs with French doors which open onto the courtyard and an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower.
