A charming 3 star grading guest house with sea view, offers you whale watching from your room.

Your host Ans welcome you to the Die Stroom B&B overlooking the Walker Bay with views of the coastline stretching from the white sand dunes of "Die Plaat" past Hermanus. There is no place in South Africa were you are able to watch the whales up-close from the shore, as you do from the De Kelders cliffs and Die Stroom B&B only one minute walk from sea.

The accommodation comprises 4 spacious rooms that are thoughtfully decorated. 2 with sea view and directly access to the pool. 2 with mountain view and one with mountain view and small private balcony. All en-suite bathrooms with 2 have bath and shower.

Die Stroom B&B offers a large comfortable open plan lounge/dining room with TV (DSTV) a door leading out to the pool deck with sea view. Enjoying a crisp glass of wine and watching the Southern Right Whale in the bay. Acces to wireless internet.
B&B Die Stroom lies 150 km from Cape-Town on the R43 from Hermanus to Gansbaai.

Self Catering:
Die Stroom is also available on a self catering basis for a minimum period of 4 days during april-october.

Gansbaai "De Kelders"
De Kelders lies on the R43. It is 25 minutes from Hermanus and
5 minutes from Gansbaai. It is 140 km from Cape Town International Airport.

Gansbaai is a picturesque fisherman's village with popular seafood restaurants and is now world renown for its Great White Shark population. Gansbaai knwn as the Big 2 Capital. Between June and December you will see a lot of Whales.

Whale Watching: Nearby Dyer Island Cruises offers exciting and informative eco-tours around Dyer Island. They operate all year (excluding May), and between July and December they combine the Island experience with boat- based whale watching. Their whale watching trips are considered not just magical but rewarding too,
and are sure to capture everyone's imagination. They can guarantee Southern right whale sightings between July and December.
