Description: Karoo Lodge Guest house Beaufort West has 125 Years of history and is what makes your stay at the Karoo lodge guest house memorable.
The Victorian colonial architecture creates a romantic feel of days gone by. Conveniently situated right in historical center of Beaufort West, directly opposite the Chris Barnard museum.
The building is newly renovated to provide all amenities needed after a long trip through the dusty and dry Karoo landscape.
There are only 14 Rooms available to cater for family, double or single accommodation. New Additions include en-suite bathrooms, safe parking, swimming pool, air conditioners, double glazed windows and entirely newly decorated and furnished throughout.
All the rooms are newly furnished and Tastefully decorated to compliment the Victorian, colonial building and some use have been made of antiques and other collectors items.
All rooms are upstairs and windows open onto a balcony outside.
Facilities include, TVs with M-net, air conditioners, en-suite bathrooms, ceiling fans, coffee / tea
The Dining area is Beautifully decorated and unusual antiques are displayed, note the French Cupboard and pump action organ, both over 100 years old.
Our restaurant offers Karoo Hospitality at its best, with Traditional Karoo Dishes and more.
Dishes include, Lamb Stew, Lamb Chops, Bobotie, Chicken Pie, Malva Pudding and Karoo Breakfast straight out of a farm kitchen.
Choose between the Old fashioned Dining room or eat on the Balcony upstairs.
Relax in the comfortable Lounge area, order drinks from the ladies bar or socialize with your family or friends.
The comfortable bar is directly next to the lounge area and may be used to watch television or simply relax and enjoy.
A newly installed swimming pool to cool you down after a long and interesting journey through the unique Karoo Landscape.
Webber's are available should you wish to have a family Braai at the pool.
The Safe Parking Area is walled right around the property and access is through a remote controlled gate.

The Historic center of Beaufort West includes buildings like the Karoo Lodge, (1885) formerly known as the Masonic Hotel and after that the Sportsman's Hotel, NG Church (1831), Museum building formerly the City Hall (1867) now housing a large Chris Barnard collection, Old Pritchard building, Old Mission Church (1872) with the pastors house next door where Chris Barnard grew up.
15km from town is the Karoo National park with many species of wildlife as well as fossils and other interesting Archaeological elements.
Wildlife includes the famous Springbok, other antelope, small mammals, abundant bird life other game including Black Rhino.
